WHAT’S YOUR BRIDE STYLE?

Untitled design (26).png

I like to encourage my brides to move away from ‘traditional’ bridal hair + makeup, and choose something that suits their personality and the overall aesthetic of their wedding.

Here’s a few looks I’ve created on myself that I hope will help as a starting point when deciding on your wedding makeup look. My background in film & TV and character creating means I often like to think of makeup & hair as part of your story… So I’ve paired the looks I’ve created with some styling details from suppliers I love & local Dorset venues.

I hope this gives you some inspiration!

Warm tones of khaki, bronzes & golds enhance all eye colours & skin tones. A great one for brides who want their look to be all about their eyes. Using eyeshadow with a shimmer, as pictured, will catch the light in photographs too and further draw attention to the eyes.

Soft details to enhance the eyes, natural, glowing skin showcasing freckles, with tones of pinks & peaches. This look calls out to be paired with braids. Some of my favourite braid styles are the milk maid braid (shown in the image) and fishtail braids.

Something to think about if your day to day makeup is quite playful & sparkly or your wedding styling is super colourful. It could be something very subtle like the look pictured. I’m 100% here for playing with some colour! you do you!
